Mardi Gras


Mardi Gras is a celebration and many people have parties to celebrate Mardi Gras. Today is Mardi Gras and it was the best party we have had out of the whole year so far. We had so much fun. There was so much to do at the party. There was even a silly string battle.

This is a picture of the silly string battle. The best part about it is seeing my cousins from a different country. They are from Egypt and Africa. Today is Fat Tuesday. Fat Tuesday is when you eat the food that you like that day and the next day like the yummy cake we had at the party. It is called king cake.

This is a picture of the king cake. There was a tiny plastic baby in it and the person who found it is the lucky one. And the person who gets the baby has to have the party next year. Today I will be able to eat some of my favorite foods to eat like pizza, corn bread, blue berry muffins and many good tasting foods. Then tomorrow I am going to taste many things that are not good to me.
